Terms of Use

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, accessing, or using CollabCasts ("the App"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, do not use the App.

2. Description of Service

CollabCasts is a crowd-sourced podcast creation platform. Creators post prompts ("Open Calls"), contributors submit short audio recordings, and creators compile those into published episodes.

3. Accounts

You must create an account to use the App. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials and for all activity under your account. You must be at least 13 years old to use the App.

4. User Content

You retain ownership of audio recordings and text you submit ("User Content"). By submitting User Content, you grant CollabCasts and its operators a non-exclusive, worldwide, royalty-free, perpetual, irrevocable, sublicensable, and transferable license to use, reproduce, modify, adapt, publish, translate, create derivative works from, distribute, perform, and display your User Content in any and all media or distribution methods now known or later developed, for any purpose including but not limited to:

• Creating, compiling, and distributing podcast episodes within the App;
• Marketing, advertising, and promoting the App, its features, and its services, including on third-party platforms and social media;
• Creating promotional materials, trailers, highlight reels, and sample content showcasing the App;
• Any other lawful commercial or non-commercial purpose related to the App and its services.

You represent and warrant that you have the right to grant this license and that your User Content does not violate any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights. You understand that User Content may be used alongside other users' submissions, edited for length or clarity, and combined with narration or other audio.

5. Subscriptions and In-App Purchases

CollabCasts offers an optional auto-renewing subscription ("Creator Pro") available via in-app purchase through Apple's App Store. Payment will be charged to your Apple ID account at the time of purchase confirmation. Subscriptions automatically renew unless auto-renew is turned off at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account will be charged for renewal within 24 hours prior to the end of the current period at the rate of the selected plan. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions.

6. Prohibited Conduct & Zero-Tolerance Policy

CollabCasts maintains a zero-tolerance policy for objectionable content and abusive behavior. You agree not to upload, post, record, or transmit any content that:

• Is defamatory, obscene, pornographic, sexually explicit, or indecent;
• Promotes or incites violence, terrorism, or harm against any individual or group;
• Constitutes hate speech, discrimination, or harassment based on race, ethnicity, national origin, religion, gender, gender identity, sexual orientation, disability, or age;
• Bullies, intimidates, stalks, or harasses any other user;
• Contains threats of any kind;
• Is illegal or promotes illegal activity;
• Infringes on any third party's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights;
• Contains spam, unsolicited advertising, or deceptive content;
• Impersonates another person or entity;
• Attempts to reverse-engineer the App or circumvent security measures.

Any user found to be posting objectionable content or engaging in abusive behavior will have their account immediately suspended or permanently terminated, and their content will be removed from the platform without notice. We reserve the right to report illegal activity to the appropriate authorities.

7. Content Moderation & Reporting

CollabCasts provides tools for users to flag objectionable content and block abusive users. All users are encouraged to report content that violates these Terms. When content is flagged or a user is blocked:

• The reported content is reviewed and may be immediately removed;
• Blocked users' content is instantly removed from the blocking user's feed;
• The CollabCasts team is automatically notified of all reports and blocks for review;
• Repeat offenders will be permanently banned from the platform.

8. Termination

We may suspend or terminate your account at any time, without prior notice, for violation of these Terms — including but not limited to posting objectionable content or engaging in abusive behavior. You may delete your account at any time through the App or by contacting support.

9. Disclaimers

The App is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. We do not guarantee uninterrupted service or that the App will be error-free.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CollabCasts shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the App.

11. Changes to Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
